    Buttock sculpting is the procedure where fat is removed from  the abdomen, flanks lower back and, in some situations, the inner thigh which is reinjected  to defficient areas in your buttocks. The procedure requires a great attention to detail in order to enhance the different aesthetics units of the butt. There are many different shapes of butts and each type  will require appropriate selection of fat injection.

    Fat injection gives the buttock the most natural and sensual look since it is your own fat that is recycled. During the procedure, the buttock is contoured by performing liposuction in the sorrounding areas to accentuate the aesthetic units and make the buttock stand out. The fat is then processed and purified so that only a percentage of the fat will be reinjected. The purified fat is then injected into different areas and depths so that the patient will get longer lasting results. Dr. Cortés injects most of the fat inside the muscle of the buttock. This will provide the best level for fat injection because the blood supply at this level will be optimal for fat survival. The correct injection method is crucial to achieve a uniform, smooth and natural appearance.

    The surgery tipically last four to five (4-5) hours and is done in the hospital or as an outpatient (same  day discharge). You  cannot sit directly on your buttock for 10 -14 days; this will ensure a better chance of permanent results. Most people will be able to return to work in two weeks. A special garment must be worn for four weeks.
