Wonder breast reduction

The Wonder breast reduction is a technique developed by Dr. Cortes. Women who have a very large saggy breast many times experience symptoms of back pain, upper and lower back pain, shoulder grooving, skin irritation under the breast, and breathing problems. In addition, it can make many patient’s very self conscious with low self esteem. The Wonder breast reduction was designed to solve many issues related to macromastia or enlarged breasts. The procedure removes fats, excess skin, and reduces the breast to a healthier size.

This information will provide you with some details about the breast reduction technique, what to expect after surgery, postoperative care among others.

The Wonder breast reduction, the difference versus a traditional breast reduction:

There are many techniques to reduce the breast, but none will provide you with the shape and long-term results like the Wonder breast reduction. A typical breast reduction technique or the traditional breast reduction technique reduces the breast, but many times it does not provide you with a nice shape. It will effectively diminish your symptoms of a large breast at the expense of a suboptimal breast shape. Because traditional breast reduction relies on the skin envelope to maintain the shape and provide you with the result, typically the breast tissue will sag and bottom out after a period of time. To solve this problem, Dr. Cortes recreates the breast by performing essentially not only a breast reduction, but a breast reconstruction. The breast is reduced accordingly to the patient’s desired size, but at the same time enough tissue is preserved
to provide you with an upper pole fullness or fullness at the top of the breast and also reconstructs all the structures that have been weakening with time including the suspensory ligaments of the breast. The Wonder breast reduction is the technique to achieve outstanding breast shape and at the same time, reduce you symptoms.

Beast candidate for the Wonder breast reduction:

Although the breast reduction is performed for cosmetic improvement, many times is a functional surgery to improve the symptoms of enlarged breasts. Breast reduction is typically performed once the women’s breasts have fully developed and if the large breasts are causing significant physical discomfort. You need to be physically and emotionally mature enough to understand what the procedure will do and also have realistic expectations.

Your consultation

During your initial consultation, Dr. Cortes will measure you breast and determine the amount of
breast tissue that will require excision. Measurements will be done to determine how much the nipple areolar complex needs to be transposed. Dr. Cortes will discuss the variables that may effect your result including your age, size, and shape of your breast and the tone and condition of your skin. In addition, your health history, social history will be reviewed to make sure that there is no underlying conditions that might effect your outcome.

Surgical risk

The Wonder breast reduction is not a simple operation. It is actually a very advanced plastic
surgery technique. The wonder breast reduction technique is a safe procedure but it can have certain risks associated with it. You will be completely asleep throughout the procedure. It is not possible to perform this procedure under local anesthetic because of the length of the surgery,

The Surgery

The Wonder breast reduction technique differs from traditional breast reduction technique by the
fact that the procedure avoids the anchor-type incision. Dr. Cortes will dissect your breast tissue and transpose you nipple areola complex, en bloc with some breast tissue to successfully lift your nipple to the right position. He will also create an inferior breast tissue dissection and move the breast tissue to provide fullness on the top of the breast. He will use the muscles of the chest as well as the excess skin to recreate the ligaments of the breast and at the same time provide support for a long-term result. The resultant scar will be a scar around the areola going vertically down and if there is more excess skin to remove, it will have a short horizontal limb going to the side, but not towards the midline.
